Fresh from picking their spectacular 2012 harvest, Bellbrae
Estate Wines is thrilled to announce the beginnings of a
partnership that will definitely drive away any winter blues with
the launch of The Lazy Lunch on the first weekend in June.
Renowned for their incredible food, Ba Ba Lu Bar Lorne
restaurateur Sacha Meier and Argentinean chef Jorge Guerrero are
bringing the delights of the feast to Bellbrae Estate with their
new creative venture Cater and Co.
The Lazy Lunch takes its lead from the traditional family or
village feast that is the highlight of a community's calendar in
cultures throughout the world. A chance to bring people
together in an atmosphere of celebration and joy, Cater and Co. and
Bellbrae Estate Wines invite you to join us in our winter garden
for a lunch designed to delight all the senses.
Long known for their hands-on approach to cooking, Sacha and
Jorge are not the type of chefs who like to hide in the
kitchen. From their tapas to their paella (packed full of
local seafood and stunning with our 2011 Chardonnay) to their
Argentinean barbeque ribs, Cater and Co. bring the flamboyance of
Spain and Argentina to every facet of the food they create, right
there in front of you.
And to match the exuberance and flair of the food are some of
Bellbrae Estate's stunning new release wines. Awarded for their
fine quality and fruit intensity for many years, the 2010 reds
bring a new level of power and depth while the 2011 Chardonnay is
both elegant and bursting with flavour.
Roam the beautiful grounds of our vineyard with a glass of our
delicious Sparkling Shiraz and some regional olives or homemade
chorizo. Sit down to a zesty Mexican chicken soup served
straight from the pot - perfect with our 2009
'Southside' Sav Blanc - before revelling in the theatre of your
main course as it is prepared over the open fire. Have a game of
petanque with a glass of the gorgeous 2010 Bellbrae Estate Pinot
Noir.
Too full for dessert? Make some room as you dance to the
live band, select your wines straight from our cellar door and laze
your afternoon away with us!
