Bellarine winery Leura Park Estate has had a second consecutive
win in the annual Geelong, Surf Coast and Ballarat Entertainment
Book Awards - Contemporary Dining section.
Director of Leura Park Estate, Lyndsay Sharp said the award was
exciting and particularly gratifying to see that the Cellar Door
experience continued to be on the right track.
"The award is the result of patrons making the effort of going
online and voting for us and we are really grateful," Mrs Sharp
said.
She said the award was a credit to the Cellar Door team at Leura
Park Estate, fronted by Cellar Door Manager, Keryn, and Kitchen
Manager, Bec.
"The Cellar Door team does a tremendous job - there's a lot of
hard work behind the scenes but a lot of fun as well. We
pride ourselves on providing a great experience all round here at
Leura Park - we want people to feel relaxed and almost as though
they are entertaining in their own back yard - so it's all about
friendly service, great wines and simple fresh food.
"Our food line up consists of a rustic, uncomplicated menu
sourced using an abundance of fresh local ingredients; including
stone based pizzas, al fresco platters, salt & pepper calamari,
steak sandwiches with occasional blackboard specials, and in Winter
we warm up with our vineyard curry as well."
Mrs Sharp said 2011/2012 was the second year Leura Park Estate
had participated in the Entertainment Book and it has again proven
to be the right decision.
"It brings customers into our Cellar Door that perhaps might not
have visited otherwise so we get to show them what we are all
about."
Leura Park Estate Cellar Door is open weekends 10.30 - 5pm for
lunch with live music every Sunday all year round. 1400
