Watch a video and demonstrations of cheesemaking and local dairy expertise. Quality cheeses with distinctly local namings to compliment your south coast hamper. Be sure to see the Nessie, the Loch Ness Monster that lost her whey.

Heytesbury Ridge Vineyard

Located a short drive north of the 12 Apostles off the Princetown Cobden Road lies Heytesbury Ridge Vineyard. A welcoming and informative cellar door is backed by an impressive stable of wines. The flagship chardonnay commands immediate respect (rated 94 out of 100 in James Halliday’s 2005 review) whilst the delightful pinot gris and pinot noir will jump and bustle for your attention and an eventual place in your hamper. Lovely north easterly aspect with Otway views. Happy grapes, fine wines, enjoy.

Timboon Fine Ice Cream

Award winning homemade ice cream in speciality flavors. Try white chocolate and raspberry or orange and cardamon. A range of flavors are available from an outlet in Port Campbell and at the Railway Shed Distillery in Timboon. Enjoy a cone or pick up a tub for an after dinner treat for all the family. Look out for the green and blue caravan and invariably large queues at local festivals and events.

Timboon Farmhouse Cheese

Timboon is still at the heart of dairy country and Timboon Farmhouse cheeses, made just south of town, have become famous across Australia. They were among the first to be made without the aid of chemicals. The Camembert, Brie, herb and pepper torte are a must to try on any visit. The Mousetrap on the Factory site offers sales and cheese tastings in a delightful rural setting.

Berry World

A firm favorite with summer fruit lovers, Berryworld consistently produces luscious sweet tasting strawberries. Bring your own container to pick your own in a lovely setting a short drive from the Timboon Trestle Bridge. Rows are planted with consideration for parents with prams and people in wheelchairs.

Local Honey

Delicious local honey is available from the butcher shop in Barrett Street and Timboon Fuel in Bailey Street.

Timboon Railway Shed Distillery

A new era of indulgence in Timboon! The Timboon Railway Shed Distillery is now open (7 days a week from 10am - 5pm).
The new venture honours the rustic charm of the old station house and ushers it tastefully into the 21st with gorgeous wide decking, clean lines and loads of style. Visitors can enjoy a Cafe/Restaurant and selections of gourmet local produce all conveniently located at the terminus of the soon to be opened Coast to Crater Trail.
Production of a single malt whisky is to commence shortly (the beautiful copper still can be viewed from the cafe). Schnapps and a coffee cream are available now for tasting.
