Searoad Ferries are set to make further upgrades to
enhance the customer experience on-board the ferries between
Queenscliff and Sorrento. In a big step forward, the MV
Queenscliff will be taken out of service for two weeks in order to
have a passenger lift installed.
The MV Queenscliff recently underwent an extensive
refit that saw the installation of a new café and lounge areas, a
kid's playground and an observation lounge. However, during
the recent refit the new passenger lift was delayed in shipment
from Finland and was unable to be installed at the time . Now
that the lift has arrived in Australia it will be installed on the
MV Queenscliff between 13th and 26th February 2012.
According to Searoad Ferries CEO, Matt McDonald
"Since the vessel returned from her refit in September last year,
she has been well received by the thousands of customers who have
already travelle d on-board and enjoyed the new
facilities".
"The Installation of the lift will put the final
touches on the refitted vessel and will allow us to provide a more
consistent experience between both vessels"
"The great news for customers is that after
February 26th, both our large ferries will have lifts
on-board. Allowing passengers that require a lift to catch
any ferry, any day".
While MV Queenscliff is away having its long
awaited lift installed. The MV Peninsula Princess will be returning
to service between 13th and 26th February. The Peninsula
Princess has limited Capacity and Facilities. Customers wishing to
