Highlights

Curlewis Golf Club

Situated on a sandy base with a minimum of trees and naturally undulating couch fairways this Vern Morcom designed links type course has maintained its position as one of the best on the Bellarine Peninsula and has been further enhanced by a recent Michael Clayton Master Plan. With challenging bunkers and firm and fast greens, it is the wind however that often determines the level of playing difficulty. The course measures 6150 metres from the championship marks and is a challenging par-72. A challenge for players of all standards and a true test of golfing ability. Green fee players welcome. 6100 metre Par 72 course Large contoured greens Naturally undulating couch fairways Well Bunkered, links style layout On the beautiful Bellarine Peninsula, Victoria One hour from Melbourne 10 minutes from Geelong

Thirteenth Beach Golf Links

In the early 1920s the Australian Jam Company purchased 405 acres at Thirteenth Beach and established an asparagus farm. The original diesel pump which provided water for irrigation is still beside the 5th tee of The Beach Course. Asparagus farming ceased in the early 1970s when the property was acquired for beef cattle production. The size of the property was subsequently increased to over 830 acres. In 1999, a joint venture was established to create a premium golf and residential precinct on 520 acres. The master plan allowed for 36 holes of golf, clubhouse facility 150 residential allotments and 150 condominiums. The Beach Course (designed by Tony Cashmore), the first 18 hole course, is set along the property's 2.1 kilometres of surf beach frontage. The course was opened for play on 1 December 2001. The course has already been ranked among Australia's Best 20 Golf Courses by two national golf magazines. The Creek Course (designed by Sir Nick Faldo and Tony Cashmore), spanning 6,401 metres has 18 holes and was opened for play on 1 January 2004 to wide acclaim.

Bellarine Adventure Golf

Set on six acres with beautifully landscaped gardens, Bellarine Adventure Golf has two magnificent 18 hole courses. They are great for any weather with both courses providing plenty of shelter from the sun or rain. Each course incorporates real sand and water hazards to keep you on your toes and those scores honest. People of all ages can play and they have putters to suit the smallest of kids through to the biggest.

Bellarine Golf

The Bellarine really is paradise for golfers. With four courses inside the top fifty public access courses in Australia for 2012 (as rated by Ausgolf), it is an ideal destination to pack the clubs and try your hand at some of the most challenging and breathtaking courses in the country. In addition to these nationally renowned links courses, there are several tree lined country courses that welcome casual players.

Barwon Heads Golf Club

Nestled amongst the coastal dunes and metres from the spectacular 13th Beach Surf Coast, is Barwon Heads Golf Club, the highly ranked Barwon Heads links course presents an enjoyable challenge for all golfers. Widely recognised as a private club, visitors who are members of other golf clubs are invited as green fee players, and to stay in the house. The magnificent clubhouse, recently listed by the National Trust and Heritage Victoria, is famed for its ambience and old world charm. With stunning architecture and captivating views, it is a clubhouse designed for all seasons. House guests can enjoy the open balconies in summer or the luxurious open fires during the cooler months. Upstairs, there are 19 refurbished ensuite rooms, and a variety of packages are available incorporating your stay with golf, dining and entertainment. Other facilities include tennis courts, billiards, a driving range, a new short-game practice facility, a par three course and a professional shop. Take some well earned time off and be enchanted by 100 years of golfing history. Ranked number seven of Australia's top 100 public access courses by Ausgolf 2013 guide, number three in Victoria and featured in the Golf Australia magazine.

Clifton Springs Golf Club

Clifton Springs Golf Club is a Mike Clayton designed 18 hole course. The course has superb Legend turf fairways and is located about an hours drive from the Westgate Bridge near the town of Drysdale where full facilities are available. The club is the best located course on the Bellarine Peninsula and with superb views of Corio Bay across to Avalon Airport. The sight of the many ships sailing past as you play the course is a sight that will be remembered forever. Being central to Port Phillip Heads and Geelong in the middle of the Bellarine Wine District with easy access to both surf and bay beaches it is perfect for a day or weekend visit. The course has an excellent dining area that has views to dream about and would make any occasion a memorable one. The Club's Open Week is held in November each year. Entry forms can be obtained by contacting the club or via our website.

Lonsdale Golf Club

Lonsdale Golf Club is a highly regarded 18-hole sandbelt course with a varied layout situated on beautiful Lake Victoria, conveniently located in Point Lonsdale on the Bellarine Peninsula. The nearby Rip at the opening of Port Phillip Bay to the sea, is one of the Bellarine region's many stunning attractions along with wineries, cafes, restaurants and accommodation. One and a half hours drive from Melbourne, the Lonsdale Golf Club course is a par 71 of 5,700 metres for men and par 72 of 5,200 metres for women. The Club offers an on course teaching professional, well-stocked pro shop and three practice areas. The spacious clubhouse provides members and visitors with a welcoming atmosphere, bar and dining facilities including before and after golf snacks, lunches and a la carte dining. The Club attracts members locally and from Melbourne, with the current membership around 1,000.

Torquay Golf Club

Set within the backdrop of the Torquay and Jan Juc beaches, The Torquay Golf Club is a challenging course for all golfers. It features wide-open fairways and when the southerly wind is blowing off the ocean it feels like a links course with the challenge of keeping the ball under the wind required. This Par 66 golf course is not the longest course, but is surely a true test of golf. It is also, certainly, one of the most picturesque. Located at number 1, Great Ocean Road, Torquay Golf Club sits at the start of Victoria's premier tourist drive destination and is a leisurely 75 minutes drive from Melbourne.

Anglesea Golf Club

The Anglesea Golf Club is situated on the Great Ocean Road and is an undulating 6,074m Par 73 layout set in natural bushland. A feature of the course is the number of elevated greens that require plenty of thought when selecting your club. There are only 42 bunkers throughout the course which have been likened to sand-belt bunkers and coupled with eucalypt tree lined fairways combine to produce a stimulating round. Also there is the ever present resident population of Eastern Grey Kangaroos which number approximately 300. Anglesea Golf Club welcomes social golfers and social groups 7 days a week, don't have golf equipment? The Pro Shop carries hire clubs, pull buggies and motorised carts. Green fees are $45.00 non-daylight savings and $50.00 daylight savings, cheaper rates for group bookings, juniors and 9 holes. If you're not interested in golf why not come along and have lunch or dinner in the Bistro over looking the 18th hole with ocean glimpses. The Bistro is open for lunch daily 12.00pm - 2.00pm and dinner nightly Sunday - Friday 6.00pm - 8.00pm and Saturdays 6.00pm - 9.00pm. The kangaroos generally come down towards the Clubhouse of an evening so visitors having a drink on the balcony or dining in our bistro have the unique experience of seeing Australian Wildlife in a natural setting.
