SUMMER AT THE BREWHOUSEby GREAT OCEAN ROAD BREWHOUSE
You could spend weeks, maybe months, trying to sample the wines, beers, spirits and specialty foods produced in the Great Ocean Road and Otway region. Or you could just visit the Great Ocean Road Brewhouse and Tastes of the Region in Apollo Bay!
The Great Ocean Road Brewhouse and Tastes of the Region in Apollo Bay are two gorgeous facilities and must-see venues for anyone interested in a one-stop mecca for all things food and drink from the local region.
While the name Brewhouse indicates a strong initial focus on craft beer, it has also welcomed the growing number of cider makers, wineries, distillers, artisan cheesemakers, sauce makers, chutneys and more which can be sampled at Tastes of the Region behind the Brewhouse.
"The Brewhouse has an informal and family-friendly atmosphere, with indoor and outdoor seating. It's the place in town where locals get together for a local brew or to grab some delicious food. Where does everybody gather? They gather at the Brewhouse. That's the vibe we want to create," said Dean Mangion, manager at the Great Ocean Road Brewhouse.
Their new Summer menu will continue to highlight regional products from the Great Ocean Road and Otway region — but in a casual, comfort food format, ranging from local Birregurra T-Bone, to Moroccan chicken with dried fruit couscous, or seafood linguini with pan seared prawns, calamari, scallops, mussels and clams, and much more. All meals can be paired perfectly with a local craft beer and followed up by a Gin or Whisky Flight or a Gin & Tonic from the new Gin Menu. With 15 Gins and 6 different Fever Tree Tonics to choose from, you better start sipping your way into Summer!
From Boxing Day till the 6th of January, there will be Free Live Music at the Brewhouse every day! With on the 5th of January one of the biggest Summer music gigs Apollo Bay has seen so far. The best of Localles plus some very special guests, Matt Bourke and the Delusional Drunks. If you were a fan of rock 'n roll champs The Vasco Era, you must love Localles! A Melbourne five-piece, with Ted O'Neil and Michael Fitzgerald linking up with John Waller (Rat & Co), Paul Doery (The Exploders) and Jackson Gray (I Know The Chief) to form a talented supergroup.
You can't get around it. This Summer you'll have to visit the Great Ocean Road Brewhouse, thé flavour destination along the Great Ocean Road.
